A bit of introduction...

Well, sir paul. Happy holidays and welcome to your xmas 2k9 virtual present.

I'd been thinking about how you asked me long ago to write you music that you could put words to... so here goes.

Now this ain't no one-way street here bud, so be prepared for a challenge. I mean, if you can handle it.

Here's how it goes:

By the first of every month in 2k10, I'll post a new song that I've written specifically with you in mind. Now I don't have any fancy recording equipment, so these songs will be rough cuts; just ideas floating through my head that I've putting down on my computers high quality internal microphone.

You may hate the song, or it may just be no good for adding words to. If that's the case, you can comment with suggestions, questions, or thoughts on how to make it more amenable to what you have in mind.

YOUR job is to write the lyrics within a month, and post those lyrics to this website, thus renewing your subscription for the next month, as long as you can keep up.

I mean, if ya can.

January - Untitled 01, 02, 03

January greets ya with an extra bonus. Three songs for the first month. Wasn't really sure what to go with here, out of tune piano musings or slow guitar ramblings. The third piece is an old one I had lying around, and probably isn't suitable for lyrics. I just thought I would throw it in, in case your creative juices were flowing in the direction of hardcore-rap.

You still only need to write lyrics for one of the songs to get a new one in February, but I just wanted to give you a little leeway to see which direction you were interested in heading. Please comment, and give me suggestions to steer me in the the direction I should be going in future months.
